Webinar 1: Introduction to Aquatic Resource Regulations

This webinar will cover the nuts and bolts of aquatic resource permitting. Attendees will become familiar with key regulations and related guidance of aquatic resource permitting in California (with an emphasis on Southern California) through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) and associated Regional Water Quality Control Boards (RWQCBs), and California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW). This webinar is recommended for anyone starting out in the world of aquatic resource delineations and regulatory permitting, those interested in adding to their environmental regulations knowledge base, or anyone who may have jumped into permitting before developing an overall understanding of the backbone behind it all. The focus of the webinar will be Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act, Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act, and California Fish and Game Code Section 1602.

Webinar 2: Aquatic Resource Delineation Reports and Corps Jurisdictional Determinations

Need help writing an aquatic resources delineation report (ARDR) that passes muster with the regulatory agencies? We’re here to help! This webinar will go through the current requirements for a complete ARDR per the Corps’ 2017 Minimum Standards for Acceptance of Aquatic Resources Delineation Reports and then some. We’ll also cover the wild world of Corps jurisdictional determinations (i.e., the Corps’ internal processes to concur with ARDR findings via a preliminary jurisdictional determination, an approved jurisdictional determination, or no jurisdictional determination). This webinar is recommended for those who attended the SERT “Introduction to Aquatic Resource Regulations” webinar and/or those with a strong foundational knowledge of aquatic resource regulations (i.e., fundamental understanding of Sections 404 and 401 of the Clean Water Act, Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act, and California Fish and Game Code Section 1602) and aquatic resource field delineations in California (with an emphasis on Southern California).
